content

The action takes place in Schwabhausen in Swabia, where the inventor company "Karl Auberle & Co. KG", consisting of the inventor Karl Auberle, his assistant Kurt-Georg and the dog Connie, usually receives an order for some more or less useful invention. It gets to work immediately, Kurt-Georg is asked to drink with the words "Kurt-Georg, drink up, now it's done". Then something usually goes wrong, which Kurt-Georg comments with “Sauberle, Herr Auberle”, before everything turns out fine and the machine does its job. At the end, the boss is praised by his wife Gertrude, with the words “Oh, my Karle, he's a guy”. Some of the sayings from the series are still widespread today and have established themselves in the German vocabulary.
