On the Holln 1–3 (Bochum)
On Holln 1–3 there is a listed villa building in Bochum 's Werne district . The building has been occupied since 1981 .
history
The building was built in 1898 and served first as director of the Villa in 1897 from the partnership spark Borbet & Co emerged Aktiengesellschaft Westphalian Drahtwerke . The Westfälische Drahtwerke was shut down in 1931, during the Great Depression , due to a lack of orders. In 1981 the building, now owned by the City of Bochum, was occupied after it had been empty for a long time and was scheduled for demolition. In 1981 at least three other squats took place in Bochum . After extensive renovation work by the squatters, the city concluded usage agreements with the squatters in 1981. In 1991 the building was placed under monument protection. In 2012 the city decided to sell the building.

The building is a two-storey, late historical plastered building under a hipped roof with a risalit , several extensions and a tower.
