In the north it borders on the grounds of the Alexian St. Joseph Hospital . The entire facility is under monument protection.
history
For the construction of the Resurrection Church on Friedenstrasse in Berlin's royal city in 1891/92, the poor cemetery located there had to be abandoned. In 1899, the parish was instead assigned a site in the then rural community of Weißensee as a new burial site, today's Resurrection Cemetery.
After the Second World War, a small grave complex for three Soviet forced laborers was laid out in the cemetery.
The cemetery has a park-like character with numerous deciduous trees. An avenue lined with occidental trees of life leads to the neo-Gothic cemetery chapel , which was opened in 1906 . It was reopened in 2016 after a thorough renovation.
