Church of the Resurrection (Dehme)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Resurrection Church in the Dehme district of the city of Bad Oeynhausen is the parish church of the Evangelical Lutheran Parish Dehme, which belongs to the Vlotho parish of the Evangelical Church of Westphalia .

history

Today's Church of the Resurrection was built in 1951 as a cemetery chapel, in which services were to take place. After the founding of the parish Dehme by Abpfarrung of the community Rehme ( Lawrence Church ) in 1956 it became the parish church.

In 1968 there was a structural connection with the new, north adjoining parish hall. In 1985 the originally hall-shaped church building was extended to a central building with a tent roof . Since the roof turret could only hold one bell , a free-standing bell tower with four additional bells was built in 1988 .
