Aufhausen is a district of the city of Mainburg in the Lower Bavarian district of Kelheim .

Aufhausen is located in the Hallertau about two kilometers south of Mainburg near the federal highway 301 .

history

Aufhausen was one of the villages that were burned down on April 30, 1436 in revenge for the execution of Agnes Bernauer by her husband Albrecht and their allied Duke Ludwig von Ingolstadt , before they also looted the Mainburg market on May 1, 1436. When the plague was brought in during the Thirty Years' War , all male residents of Aufhausen except for the sacristan died from it.

After the community was formed, the village of Aufhausen was part of the Steinbach community , with which it was incorporated into the city of Mainburg on January 1, 1978 as part of the regional reform in Bavaria .

Attractions
