Steinbach is a district of the city of Mainburg in the Lower Bavarian district of Kelheim . Until 1978 it formed an independent municipality.

location

Steinbach is located in the Hallertau about three kilometers southwest of Mainburg. Rudelzhausen is located about two kilometers southeast in Upper Bavaria .

history

In 778 Reginhoh, his wife Landrada and his son Heriolt bequeathed their free property at Hrodolveshusir (Rudelzhausen) and Steinesdorf (Steinbach) to the Bishop of Freising . Between 938 and 957, Bishop Lantpert von Freising exchanged 24 yoke fields and a mill in Steinesdorf for goods in Elsendorf .

In 1833 the church village Steinbach consisted of 27 houses with 126 inhabitants. From 1901 the municipality of Steinbach belonged to the newly formed Mainburg District Office and from 1939 to the Mainburg District .

On January 1, 1978, the municipality of Steinbach was incorporated into the city of Mainburg as part of the regional reform in Bavaria . Ecclesiastically, however this is Kuratbenefizium Steinbach part of the pastoral care unit Hebrontshausen - Rudelzhausen - Steinbach - Tegernbach in the deanery Geisenfeld .

Attractions

  • Curate beneficial church of St. Martin. It was built from 1718 to 1720 and expanded in 1906.
  • Hopfenhaus Steinbach was inaugurated in August 2015. It is one of the pivotal points of the village community. It is located in Steinbach in the center of the village.
