The Marzahn Eye Clinic is an independent, privately owned specialist hospital for ophthalmology . It is located at Brebacher Weg 15 in Berlin-Biesdorf .

The Marzahn Eye Clinic is located in the middle of a historic hospital site (former Wilhelm Griesinger Hospital ). It was opened in January 1998 and is located in a listed building from 1893. It was fundamentally rebuilt and reconstructed at the end of the 1990s, the structure was completely gutted and the technical facilities were modernized. The clinic is surrounded by a park, also protected as a historical monument, with old trees.
In the main building, the clinic has a usable area of 5,700 m². Another building has been restored in the immediate vicinity, which is also used as a guest house and bed house to accommodate patients and accompanying persons. A further 1,100 m² of usable space is available here. The clinic offers a total of 51 beds in these two houses.
In the main building there are 14 examination and treatment rooms, a fully air-conditioned operating wing with three operating theaters and a number of functional rooms. The wards with 13 patient rooms as well as service and examination rooms are located on the second floor.
Medical range of services
The most common surgery in the clinic is cataract surgery (removal of the clouded lens) using phacoemulsification and the implantation of an intraocular lens . But there are also operations for glaucoma , retinal detachments , lid operations, etc. The hospital is equipped with various medical lasers .
Attached to the hospital is an all-day ophthalmic first aid station.
