Eyewitness is the third studio album by the German rapper JokA . It was released on September 4, 2015 via the independent label distri and is distributed by Groove Attack . The album was released as a standard and limited edition, including a bonus EP and t-shirt.

Cover design
The album cover shows JokA, wearing glasses, a suit and tie and looking at the viewer. Above and below the picture are the black lettering Joka and Eyewitness . The background is kept in reddish tones.
Guest Posts
In addition to JokA, other artists are represented on various songs on the album. So Still MC a collaboration with rappers Sido and MoTrip , the latter also on 've Last night I dreamed is heard. The album entered the German charts at number 22 on September 11, 2015, which is the first chart position of JokA's career.
A music video for the title song Eyewitness was released on June 21, 2015 , followed by another video for Moin Moin on July 17 . Both songs were also released in advance as singles via iTunes for download . In addition, music videos for the songs Polaroid and Last Night were released on September 2 and 10, 2015 .

The website rap.de rated eyewitnesses positively and especially emphasized the lyrics of the album:
“ Joka is very lyrical and tech-savvy, that's nothing new. When he addresses his ghostwriting on “Wayne” and “I write albums for money [...] if I hadn't written some things, many would still be there where you can't get out without hits, without any plan,” that definitely wakes you up Curiosity. With “24/7” the Bremer surpasses all expectations. Roughly, JokA packs the same idea here as Motrip on "Mathematics", but this has been expanded a lot: It is not counted from ten to zero, but from one to 24, while a solid, coherent story is told around it. [...] Joka's third work "Augenzeuge" is an album that appears varied, but not thrown together. The backspin Hip Hop magazine gave the album four out of a possible five points and praised the storytelling skills of the rapper:
“ JokA is the storytelling. Be it about growing up with hip-hop on “nostalgia”, or about a cancer patient who takes his last breath “goodbye”. The credible presentation of his songs and the variety of topics is pleasantly entertaining, and you get quick access to JokA's stories, which play the mental cinema on a loop while listening. [...] JokA does not lift rap as such to a new level with "eyewitness" or shines with a particularly sophisticated rhyme technique. Nevertheless, despite the criticism, he manages to deliver an album with a lot of content and emotion. It's about everyday stories that are varied and well told - with a certain down-to-earth attitude and serenity that German rap has lacked. "
The hip hop magazine MZEE rated eyewitnesses as not very innovative and tough despite JokA's existing potential:
" Joka's" eyewitness "has not become what it could have been. In principle everything was given to create a great work, and yet the plan fails in the end because of the subtleties. Too often, missing accents and distinctive peculiarities cause a certain boredom or even irrelevance. Unfortunately - because Joka definitely has what it takes to be bigger. Admittedly, "Augenzeuge" is by no means a bad album, but the existing potential was simply not exhausted. "
