The Aughenbaugh Peak is an acute and 1,800  m high mountain in the West Antarctic Queen Elizabeth Land . It rises 1.1 km northeast of Neuburg Peak in the southwest Dufek massif of the Pensacola Mountains .

The United States Geological Survey mapped it based on its own surveys and with the help of aerial photographs of the United States Navy between 1956 and 1966. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1968 after the American glaciologist Nolan Blaine Aughenbaugh (* 1928), who on the one belonged to the Ellsworth Station team that had explored the Dufek massif first in December 1957.
