August Albrecht (born October 14, 1813 in Heiligenstadt , † March 22, 1886 in Hofgeismar ) was a German police officer and honorary citizen of Kassel .

Life

August Albrecht did 10 ¼ years of military service and was then police commissioner in Naumburg an der Saale for 2 ¼ years . From 1836 to 1847 he was a police inspector in Halle an der Saale , where he was appointed to the police council on July 27, 1858. In 1867 he became the acting chief of the Göttingen police department. On April 22, 1868 he became police chief in Kassel . He held this office for almost 20 years until his resignation on October 3, 1885. He retired on November 1, 1885.

He was made an honorary citizen of Kassel in 1885. He was also a bearer of the Order of the Red Eagle III. Class with ribbon and the Duke of Saxony-Ernestine House Order .

August Albrecht was married to Emma, ​​nee Grohmann (born May 30, 1825, † September 8, 1883).
