August Ames
August Ames (born August 23, 1994 as Mercedes Grabowski in Antigonish , Nova Scotia , † December 5, 2017 in Camarillo , California ) was a Canadian porn actress .
Life
Grabowski, who came from a family of soldiers, grew up in different places in Canada . She worked as a bartender and in a tanning salon before starting her career in the porn industry in November 2013 . The first film in which she took part as an actress was a so-called solo stocking fetish scene. The first porn film in which she was used as an actress with a male colleague was the film Selfies produced by Wicked Pictures . She has appeared in a number of lesbian porn films and has often been featured in films of the busty genre because of her natural breasts . Ames has also worked as a performer for the Brazzers and Bangbros websites . In 2014 she starred in films for the Jules Jordan production company .
She was known for her work in POV productions of Evil Angel and parts of the series Art of Romance of the company Erotica X . In 2015 she worked in the production of Pornstar Perversions by Digital Playground and in the role of Rogue in the porn film parody This Can't Be Deadpool XXX + X of the film Deadpool . In 2015 she was nominated in the Best New Starlet category at all porn film awards.
Ames was exposed to a violent smear campaign on social networks and allegations of homophobia on December 3 and 4, 2017 because of her refusal to engage sexually in films with male actors that are used in both heterosexual and homosexual porn film productions . August Ames vigorously denied these allegations, pointing out that she only had to pay attention to her own safety and, in principle, to decide for herself which actors she would like to work with.
On December 5, 2017, she was found dead in a park near her home at the age of 23. Suicide by hanging was found to be the cause of death . British journalist Jon Ronson produced The Last Days of August podcast about the circumstances of her death.
