August Friedrich Pallas
August Friedrich Pallas (born September 5, 1731 in Berlin ; † May 5, 1812 ibid) was a German surgeon and university professor .
Pallas studied medicine at the University of Leiden , at which he dissertation De variis culculum secandi methodis to Dr. med. received his doctorate . After returning to Berlin, he became - like his father Simon Pallas - as a professor of surgery at the Collegium medico-chirurgicum appointed and remained in this position until the dissolution of the Institute. He developed a reputation as an excellent surgeon .
Peter Simon Pallas was his brother.
