August Gutheil

August Friedrich Gutheil (* 1814 in Karlshafen , † 1885 in Hamburg ) was a German businessman and member of the Hamburg Parliament .


Gutheil was a successful businessman in Mexico who worked there for the Leffmann & Gutheil company in the 1850s. He then settled in Hamburg and belonged to the Hamburg citizenship from 1862 to 1868. Together with Theodor Rapp, he was the owner of Gutheil, Rapp & Co. Import, Export and Commission in Hamburg .
