August Klose
August Klose (born July 20, 1791 in Karlsruhe , † March 23, 1872 in Hofstetten near Brienz , Switzerland ) was Lord Mayor of Karlsruhe.
Klose was a banker and businessman by profession and was the owner of the lithographic art institute and the Karlsruhe art publisher. He was Lord Mayor from February 15, 1830 to 1833 and then again from May 12 to September 9, 1847, due to the municipal code of 1831 he was only elected directly by the people as the third Karlsruhe Mayor in 1832. He was also a member of the Baden state parliament in 1831 and 1832.
