August Mazur

August Mazur (* 1891 ; † unknown) was a German expellee functionary.

Career

Mazur came from Silesia and came to Schwabach after the Second World War as a result of displacement , where he worked as a master roofer. There he founded the Neisser Kultur- und Heimatbund to collect the expellees from Neisse and became its first federal chairman.

He was the editor of the Neisser Heimatblatt and founded the Neisser Heimatmuseum in Schwabach in 1950 , which has been in Hildesheim since 1963 .
