August Schick

August Schick is a German psychologist and professor at the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg .

Life

August Schick studied psychology at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster . He then did his doctorate and habilitation.

He became a professor at the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg . Since 1984 he has been a member of the Institute for Research into Human-Environment Relationships and since 1992 a member of the Graduate School "Psychoacoustics" at the University of Oldenburg.

From 1992 to 1996 Schick was chief editor of the magazine for noise abatement and a member of the editorial board of the International Journal of Acoustics and Vibration

August Schick was also appointed a member of the interdisciplinary working group for noise impact issues at the Federal Environment Agency in Berlin .

August Schick is a member of the Catholic student union K.St.V. Osning to Münster and Bielefeld.
