Yang Wei-ting (born September 22, 1994 ) is a Taiwanese hurdler who specializes in the 110-meter distance .

Athletic career

Yang Wei-ting gained his first international experience at the 2013 Asian Championships in Pune , where he was eliminated in the first round with 14.89 seconds. He then finished eighth at the East Asian Games in Tianjin . The following year he was eliminated from the Asian Indoor Championships in Hangzhou in the preliminary run and at the 2015 Asian Championships in Wuhan he was sixth in 13.87 s. In 2016 he reached fifth place in the 60-meter hurdles at the Asian Indoor Championships in Doha in 7.87 seconds . The following year he finished seventh at the Asian Championships in Bhubaneswar in 13.83 s and reached the semifinals at the Summer Universiade . In 2018 he took part in the Asian Games in Jakarta for the first time and finished eighth there in 13.75 s. The following year he was eliminated from the Asian Championships in Doha with 13.75 s in the first round and then reached sixth place at the Student World Games in Naples in 13.69 s.

Yang graduated from National Taiwan Normal University . His uncle Wu Cheng-he himself was an international hurdler.
