August Wilde (painter)
August Wilde (born August 3, 1881 in Ludwigshafen am Rhein , † July 15, 1950 in Bad Dürkheim ) was a Palatinate painter and art teacher. Wilde was best known for his portraits and landscapes.
His parents were Protestant merchants. From May 1904 he studied fine arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich as a pupil of Johann Caspar Herterich and Franz von Stuck .
