Siegfried Alexander Karl Heinrich Friedrich Leopold von Saldern (born June 4, 1843 in Plattenburg , † July 14, 1913 Bad Wildungen ) was a German manor owner and German conservative politician.

Life

Saldern studied law at the Georg August University of Göttingen , where he became a member of the Corps Saxonia , and the Friedrich Wilhelm University of Berlin . From 1872 he lived as a majorate on the Plattenburg estate near Bad Wilsnack , which the von Saldern family had managed since 1560. He was a member of the district council, a member of the Chamber of Agriculture and chairman of the Perleburg Agricultural Association. In the Prussian Army he reached the rank of Rittmeister.

Saldern was a member of the Reichstag from the Reichstag election from 1884 to 1890. Since a by-election on March 5, 1900, he sat in the Prussian House of Representatives until 1913 as a member of the constituency of Potsdam 1 (West and East Prignitz) . He belonged to the faction of the Conservative Party . From 1893 he was knighthood director of the Altmark and the Prignitz .
