August of Sivers

August Peter Alexander von Sivers (born September 3, 1825 in Euseküll ; † June 11, 1876 ibid) was a Livonian landowner and district administrator (Baltic States) .

Life

August von Sivers studied law at the University of Dorpat and the Royal University of Greifswald . In Dorpat he became a member of the Baltic Corporation Livonia . In 1848 he joined the Corps Borussia Greifswald . After completing his studies, he returned to Livonia and became the owner of the manors Euseküll, Kiddijerw, Heiligensee and Römershof. Sivers was a Livonian district administrator and a member of the court in Riga . Since 1853 he was married to Bertha Emilie Sophie von Maydell . The couple had three sons and four daughters, but one son and two daughters died early.
