Augustenhof is a district of the city of Burglengenfeld in the Upper Palatinate .

geography

The district is located in the Franconian Alb on the northeastern outskirts of Burglengenfeld. To the north the area rises to the 426  m high Osterbühl .

history

The Bavarian original cadastre still shows dense forest areas in the 1810s. Between 1817 and 1841 the Augustenhof wasteland with a hearth was built. Around 1873 Baron von Gise auf Teublitz acquired the Einödhof, which he had bought from Teublitz landlord Götz.

The district initially belonged to the former community of Saltendorf , which gave the farm house number 1. After the Second World War , this part of the town grew rapidly due to lively building activity.

In the course of the regional reform on January 1, 1972, the Augustenhof district was changed to Burglengenfeld . However, it still belongs to the district of the Catholic parish Teublitz-Saltendorf.
