Augustin Münzmeister von Breisach († March 25, 1380 ) was Bishop of Seckau .

Augustin Münzmeister von Breisach came from a patrician family from the Upper Baden town of Breisach . He joined the Augustinian Order and was commissioned by Pope Innocent VI in 1361 . General Procurator of his order to Emperor Charles IV. He enjoyed a high reputation at the Curia in Avignon and was at the papal poenitentiary for several years.

Pope Gregory XI. appointed mint master of Breisach on April 26, 1372, disregarding the right of occupation by the Archbishop of Salzburg as Bishop of Seckau. The archbishop, however, appointed his nephew Johann von Neuberg , the subsequent legal dispute was decided in favor of Bishop Augustine.

The dispute over the diocese weighed heavily on the diocese through pledges and sales and provoked the hostility of the nobility. Bishop Augustin could never really gain a foothold in Styria and died in 1380. His grave is unknown.
