Augustin Simnacher
Augustin Simnacher (born January 27, 1688 in Irsingen near Buchloe ; † October 24, 1757 in Brixen , Austria) was a German organ builder .
When Maria Rosa Guggemoos married in 1720, he also took over the workshop of his father-in-law Johann Guggemoos, who had died a year earlier and worked as an organ builder and schoolmaster in Tussenhausen / Angelberg. Simnacher was then not only active in southern Germany, but also in Austria / Tyrol.

But he could not finish the organ for the Bressanone Cathedral because he died while it was being built. His son Joseph Antoni Simnacher, his son-in-law Alexander Holzhey and his nephew Johann Nepomuk Holzhey , who was to become one of the most important organ builders of the South German Baroque, completed this work.
