Augustine Kim Jae Deok

Augustine Kim Jae Deok (Korean: 김재덕 아우구스티노; born June 1, 1901 in Chien-An ; † June 5, 1988 ) was a Korean Roman Catholic Archbishop and Apostolic Vicar .

Life

On October 28, 1947, Kim was ordained a priest for the Jeonju Diocese . Paul VI appointed him on July 3, 1955 appointed Bishop of Jeonju. Archbishop Stephen Kim Sou-hwan of Seoul ordained him bishop on March 19, 1973 with the assistance of William John McNaughton , Bishop of Incheon , and Paul Marie Kinam Ro , former Archbishop of Seoul. On April 10, 1981, his resignation was accepted by Pope John Paul II .

His motto was Per Quem Omnia .
