Augusto Laranja (born April 15, 1992 ) is a former Brazilian tennis player .

Career

Laranja played a few matches on the Junior Tour until 2010, where he achieved his best placement with 83rd place, and once took part in a Grand Slam tournament , the US Open .

After completing a few matches with the pros during his time as a junior player and placing himself in the tennis world rankings, he managed to finish the year in the top 800 in the world in singles and doubles from 2011 to 2014. He played almost exclusively on the ITF Future Tour or the ATP Challenger Tour . He managed no tournament win in singles and only a few match wins at Challengers; in doubles he came to two tournament wins at Futures and moved once - in Rio Quente - in a Challenger semifinals. He had his only appearance on the ATP World Tour in February 2011 in Costa do Sauípe , where he lost in the first round with a wildcard in doubles. In 2012 he achieved his best position with rank 584 in singles and 2013 with rank 327 in doubles. From 2015 he still took part sporadically in tournaments in his home country.
