Auput I (also Iupet I ) ruled as the Upper Egyptian pharaoh (king) and direct successor of Takelot II from 831/30 to 830/829 BC. BC (?) In Thebes . His accession to power also marks the end of Petubastis I's government .

In 2003 Jürgen von Beckerath proposed that the 23rd dynasty be renamed the Upper Egyptian Line of the 22nd Dynasty . The new classifications were joined by David A. Aston, Anthony Leahy and Karl Jansen-Winkeln.
