Aurelijus Gutauskas

Aurelijus Gutauskas (born May 22, 1972 in Vilkaviškis ) is a Lithuanian lawyer, criminal lawyer and criminologist , professor at the Mykolas-Romer University , judge at the Lithuanian Supreme Court.

Life

In 1993 he graduated from the bachelor's program and from 1993 to 1995, the Master of Law at the Lietuvos policijos akademija . On April 12, 2002, he completed his doctorate at the Mykolo Romerio universitetas on organized crime on the subject of " Organized crime and its criminal assessment". From 1995 to 1998 he was an assistant at Lietuvos teisės akademija , from 1998 to 2002 lecturer at the Chair of Criminal Law at Lietuvos teisės universitetas , from 2002 to 2003 Vice Dean of the Faculty of Social Work at LTU. From 2003 he taught as a lecturer. From 2004 to 2005 he worked asResearch Associate at the Criminal Research Department at Teisės institutas . In 2005 he taught at Vilniaus teisės ir verslo kolegija . From 2005 to 2008 he headed the criminal justice department at the Law Research Institute at the Ministry of Justice of Lithuania . From 2010 to 2011 he worked in the Seimas office as a consultant in the legal committee. From 2010 to 2013 he headed the Chair of Criminal Law and Criminology at the Law Faculty of the Mykolo Romerio universitetas . Since 2013 he has been a professor at the Institute for Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure . He has been a judge at Lietuvos Aukščiausiasis Teismas since April 28, 2013 .

He speaks Russian and English.
