Aurimas Adomaitis (born April 5, 1987 ) is a Lithuanian basketball player .

career

The Kaunas native Adomaitis played in his hometown at the basketball school "Žalgiris-Sabonio mokykla" and made the leap into the youth national team of Lithuania. In the 2005/06 season he played in the United States at Roanoke Catholic High School in the state of Virginia , where he scored an average of 11.8 points and 9.8 rebounds per game. He stayed in the USA, played at the Long Island University Brooklyn Campus from 2006 to 2009 , where he completed a business degree. He played 83 games for the team of the "LIU-Brooklyn", while the 2.05 meter tall inside player scored an average of 4.8 points and 3.1 rebounds per encounter.

Between 2009 and 2012 Adomaitis was in the service of the Lithuanian first division clubs Alytaus Alytus , Utenos Juventus and Kėdainių Nevėžis for one game year . He moved to Germany and strengthened the Science City Jena team in the 2nd Bundesliga ProA in the 2012/13 season . There he posted an average of 9.7 points and 6.2 rebounds per game.

At the beginning of the 2013/14 season, the Lithuanian was under contract with the French third division club Saint-Brieuc Basket, in November 2013 there was a separation between Adomaitis and the club. He returned to his home country and strengthened the first division club Kėdainių Nevėžis before moving to the German regional league club BC Erfurt in December 2014. For Erfurt he was on the field in 15 regional league games until the end of the 2014/15 season and scored an average of 16.9 points and 12.6 rebounds.

After a trip to his home country, he moved to SC Rist Wedel in the 2nd Bundesliga ProB at the end of 2015 . He also worked professionally in Wedel.
