Construction workers
The expansion worker is a German, state-recognized training occupation according to the Vocational Training Act .
Duration of training
The apprenticeship period to become an upgrading worker is usually two years. The training takes place at the company and vocational school as well as inter-company training .
Work areas
The following skills and knowledge are required as the subject of vocational training in the "Regulations for the apprenticeship expansion worker":
- Vocational training, labor and collective bargaining law
- Structure and organization of the training company
- Health and safety at work
- environmental Protection
- Order acceptance, performance recording, work plan and schedule
- Setting up, securing and clearing construction sites
- Checking, storing and selecting construction and building supplies
- Reading and applying drawings, making sketches
- Performing measurements
- Processing of wood and production of wooden components
- Manufacture of components from concrete and reinforced concrete
- Manufacture of components from stones
- Checking and preparing substrates
- Installation of insulation materials for heat, cold, sound and fire protection
- Manufacture of plaster and stucco
- Manufacture of screeds
- Attachment and laying of tiles and slabs
- Manufacture of components in drywall
- Quality assurance measures and reporting
