history

As early as 2002, a first sampler contribution of 3.14 appeared on the Septic Compilation of the later label Dependent Records . After further compilations 2005, the first album was released sound computer science , which was well received by the music press. So the orcus praised :

“Autoaggression creates a bastard between industrial, ambient and noise in order to be effortlessly superior to the low-pulse futurepop in trance-like moments. Noise informatics always presents itself intelligently, one step ahead and apparently with one goal: people are allowed to think on the dance floor. "

The trendy magazine Zillo declared Auto Aggression “Newcomer of the Month”, the Webzine Terrorverlag called the debut “a glittering pearl in the ever-changing sea of electronic releases”. The second album, Artefacts , was released in 2007 in collaboration with guest singer Eskil Simonsson ( Covenant ). It rose to number 6 in the German Alternative Charts . Various concert and festival appearances followed, including at the Reflection: Dark Festival in Essen. After that, however, it became quiet about auto aggression.

style

Auto Aggression plays scene-specific electronica and IDM with elements of trance , ambient and rhythm 'n' noise . The music is often "underlaid with a driving beat" and creates "a trance-like atmosphere". Other pieces spread a homely lounge atmosphere with “complex, calm rhythms, chanting and chilled area sounds.” The music alternates between such relaxed pieces and the more rhythmic ones described as “hard-hitting, dry, punching [with] emphatic singing” become. On Grenzwelle.de , the inconsistent style is attributed to a large musical spectrum in the context of electronic music , so the "range [of the project] extends from techno , as celebrated by large warp bands like Autechre , to icy, standing soundscapes or harsh, intricate minimalist beats. "
