Grenzwellen is the title of a music program on the private radio station Radio Hannover . It has been running there every Wednesday from 9:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. since April 9, 2014. The subject of the broadcast is electronic music . It is moderated by Ecki Stieg .

history

The program was originally broadcast on the private Lower Saxony radio broadcaster Radio ffn . There it ran from 1987 to 1997 on the broadcasting slot on late Sunday evening from 9:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., towards the end of Wednesday evening from 10:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. In the course of the reorientation of radio ffn to a chart-oriented format radio , the possibility of integrating the border waves into the rest of the program concept of the station was viewed with increasing skepticism by the program managers. In 1997 the program was stopped there.

In 1998 an attempt was made to establish the Grenzwellen as a TV format. The entire Zillo -Festival in Hildesheim was not only filmed extensively; all appearances on the main stage (with the exception of the main acts The Cure and Rammstein ) were also recorded on 24 tracks (including Wolfsheim , Das Ich , Clan of Xymox , And One , Alexander Veljanov ). The program was not broadcast.

Since April 9, 2014, Ecki Stieg has been moderating the Grenzwellen again at Radio Hannover .
