Autolycus is an impact crater on the front of the moon on the edge of the Mare Serenitatis , between the crater Archimedes in the west and Aristillus in the north. The rim of the crater is irregular and partially eroded.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 after the Greek astronomer and mathematician Autolykos von Pitane .
