Automatica
The automatica is an international trade fair for automation . The fair offers a platform for manufacturers and users of assembly and handling technology , industrial robotics and professional service robotics as well as industrial image processing . Messe München GmbH and VDMA Robotik + Automation stand behind the industry-driven concept of Automatica as the ideal-technical sponsors of the fair.
structure
Automatica represents the value chain in production. The focus is on technologies that should enable faster and more cost-effective production while at the same time increasing product quality. Assembly and handling technology , industrial robotics and industrial image processing form the core areas. The associated technologies are subdivided into the topics of positioning system , drive technology , sensor technology , control technology , safety technology , supply technology , software , services and service providers as well as research and technology .
history
The fair has been held every two years (even years) on the grounds of Messe München since 2004 and presents the world's largest range of robotics.

Automatica 2018
Automatica 2018 took place from June 19 to 22. A total of 890 exhibitors from 29 countries presented themselves in six exhibition halls (66,000 square meters of exhibition space); 45,584 visitors from 89 countries came to the Munich exhibition center. With new exhibitors, specialist lectures and demonstrations, the topic of "IT" took on a central role at the fair. 64 companies from the IT sector presented themselves at the IT2Industry area.
