Ave Maria is the debut album by the German NDH band Ost + Front . It was released on September 3, 2012 on the Out of Line label and was distributed by Rough Trade Distribution .

history

Ost + Front was founded in 2008. Chris L. was the group's singer until 2011. Afterwards this position was taken by Patrick Lange under the pseudonym "Herrmann Ostfront", who until now has taken over the guitar and the background vocals. This hindered the timely release of the debut album. The album was only released four years after the band was founded.

Music videos appeared for the songs Ich liebe es and Denkelied , directed by Ulrik Bruchholz.

The album reached number 68 in the German album charts and held this position for a week.

The album was partially reduced by the trade press to comparisons with Rammstein.

“The bottom line is that“ Ave Maria ”has twelve mostly catchy and entertaining songs on offer, some of which are quite entertaining. In terms of content, however, as already mentioned, all of this is a "matter of taste" and musically they copy the rulers of RAMMSTEIN quite unrestrainedly. So you shouldn't expect innovation on "Ave Maria", at least RAMMSTEIN and the average NDH listeners might not care at all ... "
