action

You play a young student at the Avencast Academy . After taking your final exam, demons attack the academy . They are under the command of the Demon Lord Morgath. The demons are unintentionally summoned by Meganteolis and other archmages, it seems at first. Very few students can save themselves in a room that is protected by a Meganteolis crystal. The rest of the people die or become unwilling servants of the demons. After you have signaled to other academies through a telescope that you need help, you look for the portal through which the demons stream into the world.

It was sealed by an archmage spell, but it cannot last much longer. With an artifact, the Destructor, you set out to destroy the portal. You reach it after several obstacles. However, the Destructor only destroys the protective shield, not the portal. Megantolis appears and explains to the hero that he deliberately called the demons and he goes through the portal.

Follow him and come to the Cyan fortress. You learn that you once lived here as a baby and that Meganteolis is the student's brother. The Kyran people once tried to summon Morgath to kill him and steal his Crystalline Heart. The heart should have godlike power. The residents were all killed. The parents had Meganteolis and you taken away beforehand. However, the Kyranians wounded Morgath so badly that he had to give up his physical existence. Inside the fortress you will find Meganteolis. He tells you that Morgath lives in the fortress and grows a new body. He wants to tear his heart away from him and thus rule the world. Meganteolis is no longer himself and he is killed.

After several obstacles you reach Morgath. If you find a potion before you become shellless and you absorb the powers of all killed Kyranians. This can kill Morgath and his heart. You yourself die in the process.

Game world

The game world consists primarily of rooms and corridors. Outside areas are relatively rare.

Avencast is the academy where you mostly stay. There are different classrooms and guest areas. The apprentices are in three tracts broken down by their respective training. The blood, souls and incantation tract. There is a planetarium on the top floor .

The Kyran Fortress is floating in space . Nevertheless, gravity acts like it does on earth. The fortress is divided into several heavily fortified defensive areas. In the innermost part there are, among other things, sleeping quarters, laboratories and art museums.

Game mechanics

One can do three types of magic . These house various spells.

Blood Magic: Blood magic is mainly used in close combat. The spells work in the immediate vicinity and consist mainly of ice and fire.

Soul magic: Soul magic is mainly used in long-range combat. The spells work from the place of the caster up to a certain range. They mainly consist of fire, ice and meteorite magic.

Summoning magic: They are made up of 50% blood and 50% soul magic. You can use it to summon golems , attack or distract opponents.

The fight takes place exclusively with a magic wand, which the spell can use or which is used in direct close combat.

By solving quests and killing demons and the like you get experience points. With a level up you get 10 skill points. These can be broken down into direct life / mana or the effects of blood or soul magic. New spells must also be paid for with skill points.

In total, there are only 24 inventory spaces available that can be freely equipped. In them you can z. B. stow healing potions or armor. There are also 24 quest item slots. These are sorted automatically.
