Avery Corman

Avery Corman (born November 28, 1935 in New York City , New York ) is an American writer .

He has written plays, scripts for documentaries, and articles for numerous American magazines. His novel Kramer versus Kramer , published in 1977, was made into a film in 1979. The divorce drama won five Oscars . Two years earlier, Carl Reiner shot the comedy Oh God ... based on Corman's novel O Gottogott! . Avery Corman lives with his family in New York.
