Aviapartner is a Belgian company with headquarters at Brussels Airport in Zaventem . It was founded in Antwerp in 1949 under the name Belgavia and today operates in seven European countries at 38 airports as an aircraft handler for around 400,000 flights by over 400 airlines . In 2012, 61.7 million passengers and around one million tons of freight were handled.

At the beginning of 2015 it was announced that the holding company H.IG Capital had acquired a majority stake in Aviapartner.

In Germany, the company is represented in Düsseldorf and Hanover. Further locations are planned. Düsseldorf is the largest station in the entire Aviapartner network with approx. 870 own employees and approx. 50 temporary workers. The companies in Germany cooperate with the unions and have in-house collective agreements and works councils.

Düsseldorf is the headquarters in Germany. The management is Clive Sauvè-Hopkins, the Düsseldorf station manager has been with Thomas Bethke since February 2017, and Serge Fabry is the station manager for Hanover

The license for the Düsseldorf station in the BVD is valid until March 2023.
