Avo Keel (born October 1, 1962 in Võru , Estonian SSR ) is an Estonian beach volleyball player .

Career

Keel played his first international tournaments in 1990 with Kaido Kreen . At the open tournaments in Rio de Janeiro and Lignano they reached places 19 and 11. In 1994 they returned to the World Tour at the Marseille Open. In 1995 they started with two 25th places and improved to 17th place in Enoshima and Ostend . After 13th place in Fortaleza , they came in ninth in Bali for the first time in the top ten. In 1996 they finished 17th in Rio de Janeiro. In addition, Kreen / Keel qualified for the Olympic Games in Atlanta . There they were defeated in the first game by the French duo Penigaud / Jordard and had to say goodbye after another defeat in the losing round against the Norwegians Kvalheim / Maaseide . On the World Tour in 1999 they played three more open tournaments without getting past 57th place.
