Axel Diekmann

Axel Diekmann (born September 9, 1944 in Steinhagen ) is a German publisher. He was the managing partner of the Passau publishing group .

Live and act

Diekmann studied medicine in Münster and dentistry in Munich, and received his doctorate in both courses. He married the daughter of the Passau publisher Hans Kapfinger , who made him chairman of the board of trustees of Dr. Hans Kapfinger Foundation . From 2003 to 2009 he was managing partner of the Passau publishing group .

From August 1, 2009 to June 30, 2013, Diekmann was a member of the Board of Directors of Bayerische Landesbank and he was a member of the Economic Advisory Board for Southern Germany at Raiffeisenlandesbank Upper Austria .

He is married and has a daughter and a son.

Honors

Diekmann received the Bavarian Order of Merit in 2002 , he became Honorary Senator of the University of Passau in 2005 , an honorary citizen of Passau in 2007 and received the Great Tyrolean Eagle Order in 2014 and the 1st Class Cross of Merit of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany on February 28, 2018 .
