Axel Kroell
Axel Kroell (* 1959 in Witten ) is a German film composer , music producer and drummer from Munich .
life and work
Kroell graduated from the Musikhochschule Dortmund . He majored in drums , Summer Intensive Creative Music Studio, Woodstock / NY, various bands in rock, pop and jazz.
From 1984 to 1994 he stayed in New York for 10 years , where he worked as a freelance producer, songwriter, arranger and programmer. a. for and with Wet Wet Wet , Blow Monkeys , Al Green , Quincy Jones , David Hasselhoff , Arthur Baker , Curtis Mayfield , Afrika Bambaataa, Kurtis Blow , with gold and platinum awards and sales of around 5 million records.
From 1994 he produced in Munich with Nena , Such a Surge and Grandmaster Flash, among others , and composed as a film composer for 3000 TV episodes for the series SOKO Munich , Sturm der Liebe and Die Bambus-Bären-Gang .
Kroell has worked for all major labels and has sold around 15 million records to date.
Kroell prepares several film productions with a focus on jazz, including a. with Peter Erskine, Karl Berger, Terrace Martin and Marcus Strickland.
