Axel Lehmann

Axel Lehmann (born October 13, 1966 in Berlebeck ) is a German journalist and local politician ( SPD ). Lehmann has been the district administrator of the Lippe district since October 2015 and successor to Friedel Heuwinkel (CDU).

Life

At the end of the 1980s, Lehmann trained as a journalist with the Lippische Landeszeitung . In the 1990s he studied history, political science and German at the University of Münster. He worked for seven years as a research assistant for the former Mechtild Rothe, and received his doctorate in 2000 on the subject of the Marshall Plan . Since then he has worked as a freelance journalist for radio and television. He has headed the Wort & Co press office since 2003 . Lehmann has been a member of the district assembly since 1999 and has been a member of the assembly of the Westphalia-Lippe Regional Association in Münster since 2004 . In March 2015, as the incumbent party leader of the district SPD since 2014, he was elected district administrator candidate of the SPD for the district of Lippe.
