Ayesha Disa Curry (* 23. March 1989 in Markham (Ontario) , Canada as Ayesha Disa Alexander ) is a Canadian-American actress , chef and cookbook author .

Life

Curry took an early interest in music and made her first appearance at the age of 12, where she starred in the music video Too Young for Love by Suga Prince (now known as Sevn Thomas). After graduating from Weddington High School , Curry moved to Los Angeles to become an actress. After a few minor roles in several TV shows and films, Curry began hosting her own show Ayesha's Homemade (aka Ayesha's Home Kitchen ) on Food Network in 2016 . Although Curry had no professional culinary training, she started her culinary career in 2014 when she prepared her first meal as a YouTube demonstration on her channel Little Lights of Mine . Curry is the author of several videos on her channel Little Lights of Mine, has run a restaurant with Michelin-starred chef Michael Mina , and has written a cookbook, The Seasoned Life , which was published in 2016 and the New York Times bestseller list that fall reached. Furthermore, Curry continues to act as an actress in several North American film and television productions and has regular appearances on various television shows.

She is married to Stephen Curry , with whom she has three children.
