Ayumu Gorōmaru ( Japanese 五郎 丸 歩 Gorōmaru Ayumu ; born March 1, 1986 in Fukuoka , Japan ) is a Japanese rugby union player.
Career
Goromaru played his first international match for Japan on April 16, 2005 at the age of 19. For the Rugby World Cup in 2007 and 2011 , he was not nominated for the national team. It was only through coach Eddie Jones that Goromaru became a regular on the Japanese national rugby union team. At the first encounter of the Rugby World Cup in 2015 , Japan overwhelmingly won as an outsider against South Africa 34:32, Goromaru scored 24 points in the encounter. At the end of the tournament, Goromaru had scored a total of 58 points.
In the 2016 season he played for the Queensland Reds , after the season he moved to France to Toulon.
