Ayush Tandon (born July 31, 1998 in Mumbai ) is an Indian film actor and former child actor . He gained fame mainly through the role of the young Pi Patel from the Ang Lee film Life of Pi: Shipwreck with Tiger .

life and career

Ayush Tandon was born as the son of Hatinder and Asha Tandon in Mumbai and was brought into connection with the actor through his father, who was denied an acting career himself. At the age of ten, Tandon took part in the Indian reality show Chota Packet Bada Dhamaka , which consists of dancing and singing, which he and his team won in the 2009 finals. 2014 he joined the school with the Secondary School Certificate , the South Asian equivalent of the German College student , now and then took up a study on Annasaheb Vartak College of Arts, Commerce and Science on.

In 2011 he made his film debut in the role of young Arun in 7 Khoon Maaf , alongside Priyanka Chopra and Vivaan Shah . A year later he became known to a larger audience for the role of Pi Patel from the critically acclaimed Life of Pi: Shipwreck with Tiger . He played the role around the age of twelve, while the adult actor Suraj Sharma also made his breakthrough with the film. In 2015, she played a supporting role in the film Bajirao & Mastani - An Immortal Love .

In addition to his acting roles, Tandon has already appeared in more than 50 commercials.
