Azad Corlu (born January 12, 1991 ) is a Danish football and futsal player .
Career
society
Corlu, the son of Turkish parents, joined the Copenhagen suburban club Brøndby IF at the age of three . He was active in its youth teams until 2010. He was transferred to the second team and was also in the club's professional squad, for which he was not used. For the 2011/12 season he moved to second division AB Gladsaxe on loan and played 13 league games. In the 2013/14 season at least two second division games for Hvidovre IF are recorded. At the age of 23 he ended his professional career. He trains the U13 of his home club Brøndby IF.
Corlu has been active for the Futsal Gentofte futsal club since May 2018 ; he had previously played for FC Fjordbold.
National team
Corlu played twice for the Danish U-16 national team in 2007 and a total of 18 times for the U17s in 2007 and 2008; he was also used in the missed qualification for the U-17 European Football Championship in 2008 . He played seven times for the Danish U18 and came with the U19 in the - again missed - qualification for the U-19 European Football Championship in 2010 . He played a total of eleven international matches for the U19s and two games for the U20s. Since then, he has not been used in a national U-team. Due to the origin of his parents, Corlu would also be eligible to play for the senior national team of Turkey .
In 2017 and 2018 he played eleven times for the Danish national futsal team .
