The Dijon-Darois airport ( ICAO code : LFGI ) is located about ten kilometers northwest of Dijon ( France ) on the south-eastern outskirts of the village of Darois at an altitude of 483 m  AMSL . Since 1959 it has been the works airfield of the well-known aircraft manufacturer Robin , whose successor CEAPR is still based there today.

Flight operations and infrastructure

The airfield is designed for visual air traffic only, approach aids and runway lights are not available. However, local pilots are allowed to perform night flights. It is approved for motor , microlight and glider planes as well as helicopters .

The pilots have two parallel runways running roughly in a north-south direction (02/20) : an 800 m long paved runway and a 780 m long grassy runway. A paved taxiway connects this with the apron in the west .

Building of the Aéroclub de la Côte-d'Or

Apart from the traffic of the airport is from since 1957 Luftsportverein Aéroclub de la Côte-d'Or used. He also operates a flight school for motorized pilots, microlight pilots and helicopter pilots.
