Azize Tanrıkulu (born February 9, 1986 in Bismil ) is a former Turkish Taekwondoin who started in the feather and middleweight division. Her greatest successes were winning an Olympic silver medal and a European title.

Tanrıkulu started in international competitions since 2002. In the adult area, she played her first title fights at the 2004 European Championships in Lillehammer , where she was only eliminated in the quarter-finals. In the following year she achieved her final breakthrough in the international top in the class up to 63 kilograms. At the World Cup in Madrid she reached the quarter-finals, where she was eliminated against Carmen Marton . At the European Championships in Riga she became European champion for the first time. She also won gold at the Universiade in Izmir . The following European Championships ended for Tanrıkulu each in the quarter-finals. In 2008 she was able to qualify for the Olympic Games in Beijing . There she reached the finals in the class up to 57 kilograms with three wins and won the silver medal. She beat Martina Zubčić and Diana Lopez , among others , but lost to Lim Su-jeong in the final . After the games, she ended her active career.

Tanrıkulu studied at Akdeniz University . Her brother Bahri is also a successful Taekwondo and Olympic medalist.
