Carmen Marton (born June 30, 1986 in Melbourne ) is an Australian Taekwondoin . It starts in the weight class up to 62 kilograms.

Marton trains at the Taekwondo Center in her hometown. She celebrated her first international success at the Junior Asian Championships 2001 in Changhua , where she won silver in the class up to 55 kilograms. In Jeju she took also well at the World Cup in part in the adult area, but different in their opening battle of. Marton achieved her greatest sporting success so far at the 2005 World Cup in Madrid . In the class up to 63 kilograms she only lost in the semifinals and won the bronze medal. Marton was able to qualify for the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing . In the class up to 67 kilograms she reached the quarter-finals, but lost there to Natália Falavigna and finally came in ninth.

2011 was a successful year for Marton. In Shenzhen she won the bronze medal at the Universiade , at the World Championships in Gyeongju she was only eliminated in the quarter-finals. Eventually she won the Oceanic Olympic Qualification Tournament in Nouméa and also qualified for her second Olympic Games in London in 2012 . There she was defeated in the battle for the bronze medal of the German Helena Fromm .

Marton is in a relationship with Safwan Khalil , also Taekwondo and Olympian in London.
