The Azure Lake is a lake in the central eastern part of the Canadian province of British Columbia .
Azure Lake is located in the Cariboo Mountains at an elevation of 682 m . It is located in Wells Gray Provincial Park . The lake has a length in east-west direction of 24 km. The maximum width is 2.6 km. It has a water surface of 30.4 km². Several glacier-fed rivers flow into the lake, including the Azure River and Angus Horne Creek . A 200 m long section of the Azure River forms the drain to the Clearwater River from the western end of the lake . The lake is mostly reached by motorboat from the southern end of Clearwater Lake . Canoeists have to tackle a 500 m long portage between the two waters. There are simple campsites on the lake shore.
Fish fauna
Rainbow trout are found in the lake .
