Azzan ibn Qais ( Arabic عزان بن قيس, DMG ʿAzzān b. Qais ; † January 30, 1871 ) was Sultan and Imam of Muscat and Oman from 1868 to 1871.

Azzan came from a sideline of the Said dynasty . During the power struggles after the division of the empire under Thuwaini ibn Said (1856–1866), he succeeded in conquering Muscat in 1868 and overthrowing Salim ibn Thuwaini (1866–1868). Azzan was re-elected Imam of the Ibadites for the first time since 1783 . Despite being elected as an imam, he was unable to permanently stabilize his rule. Azzan was defeated and killed in 1871 by Turki ibn Said (1870-1888), a brother of Thuwaini, with the help of the Sheikhs of Dubai, Ras al-Khaima and Ajman. The most important achievement of Azzan ibn Qais was the expulsion of the Wahhabis from the Buraimi oasis, which ended their threat to Oman .
